CHAMBERSBURG – Downtown Chambersburg Inc.’s Downtown Dollars giveaway will be back for its third Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30. The group will give away more than $3,000 in Downtown Dollars to be spent at participating downtown businesses. F&M Trust and the Downtown Business Council serve as presenting sponsors.

Shoppers must present a receipt dated Nov. 30, 2024, for a sale of $25 or more from a participating downtown business to be entered to win a voucher for $10, $20 or $50. Receipts will be collected in front of the County Courthouse from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 30. The proceeds of all Small Business Saturday sales will support small businesses in Chambersburg and DCI’s mission of improving Chambersburg’s economic development.

Kyla Symonds, co-owner of Hammer & Stain, said, “Small Business Saturday is a day where we collectively band together as small business owners and this community to share in a celebration! Being a small business owner comes with a lot of very long and tiring days. Meeting new people and connecting with returning customers recharges us to keep on keeping on. We can’t wait to see you!”

“Small Business Saturday rewards customers who choose to spend their hard-earned income in locally owned shops and restaurants,” said Downtown Business Council Coordinator Brittany Cocola. “I love hearing stories from our business owners about first-time customers experiencing their shops on Small Business Saturday.

“Our businesses offer so much variety that there’s truly something for everyone! It instills hometown pride while demonstrating the work that’s been done to build up our central business district to what it is now and where it is headed,” Cocola said.

“By sponsoring Small Business Saturday in downtown Chambersburg, we actively support local businesses and uplift the communities we serve,” said Casey Helm, marketing coordinator of F&M Trust. “This event always fosters a wonderful sense of togetherness in our downtown area, and we eagerly anticipate seeing everyone shopping and dining at the establishments owned and operated by our friends and neighbors!”

DCI President Sam Thrush said, “Small Business Saturday is one of our favorite ways to support our local downtown businesses at DCI. These businesses are a mainstay of our economic vibrancy and community. We thank you for coming out to join us!”
