The Waynesboro Area YMCA is set to host two exciting events this December, promising festive fun for the community and support for local initiatives.
Make Memories Swim with Santa
On Sunday, Dec. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m., families are invited to don their swimsuits for a tropical celebration featuring Santa Claus himself. This unique event, titled “Make Memories Swim with Santa,” will offer a variety of activities both in and out of the water. Attendees can look forward to games, movies, photo opportunities, raffles, crafts and more. It’s a perfect chance for kids and families to create lasting memories before the holiday rush. For additional details or to register, interested parties can visit the YMCA or call 717-762-6012.
Waynesboro Area YMCA Craft Show
Just a week earlier, on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Waynesboro Area YMCA will host its Holiday Craft Show. This event is free and open to the public, showcasing a range of local vendors offering handmade crafts and unique products—ideal for Christmas shopping.
Vendors are still being sought for this event; those interested in reserving space can do so for $40, with an additional $10 for a table and two chairs. All vendor fees contribute to the YMCA”s “Partner with Youth” program. Applications are available at the member services desk.
Both events highlight the YMCA’s commitment to community engagement and support during the holiday season. For more information about these events or to register as a vendor, individuals can visit waynesboroymca.org or contact the YMCA directly at 717-762-6012.
