CHAMBERSBURG – Magisterial District Court 39-2-01 in the Borough of Chambersburg is relocating to 630 Norland Ave.
Magisterial District Judge Glenn Manns and staff will close the court’s current office at 218 N. Second St., at the end of business on Friday, Oct. 25. Staff will resume serving the public at the new Norland Avenue location starting Wednesday, Oct. 30.
The relocation of this magisterial district court is one of the final components of the county’s multi-year court facilities improvement project. Through this expansion project, most county court-related offices have now been co-located into one downtown campus, improving efficiency, increasing accessibility and reducing long-term expenses by consolidating operations. More importantly, the project addressed long-standing safety concerns that threatened the court’s ability to effectively administer justice.
The Franklin County Commissioners thank the public for their patience during this transition and look forward to continued service of Franklin County residents.
