HAGERSTOWN – Sterling Road will be closed at the railroad tracks for maintenance starting Monday, Oct. 21, at 8:30 a.m., the Washington County Highway Department has announced. The closure will last until Friday, Oct. 25, at 4 p.m.
During this period, all through traffic will be prohibited, and detour signs will be posted to direct drivers around the area, highway officials said. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes to avoid delays. Highway officials said they appreciate the public’s cooperation and understanding as these essential improvements to the railroad infrastructure are carried out.
