WAYNESBORO – It’s a double feature of Beetlejuice this weekend at Waynesboro Theatre, 75 W. Main St.

Friday, Oct. 18, 7 p.m. & Saturday, Oct. 19, 4 p.m. “Beetlejuice” (PG-13 1:35). After Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes (Catherine O’Hara, Jeffrey Jones) and teen daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a rambunctious spirit whose “help” quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.

Saturday, Oct. 19, 7 p.m. & Sunday, Oct. 20, 4 p.m. & “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice” (PG-13 1:45) Three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River after an unexpected family tragedy. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life soon gets turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter discovers a mysterious portal to the afterlife. When someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times, the mischievous demon gleefully returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.
