CHAMBERSBURG – AppleFest 2024 is set to transform downtown Chambersburg into a vibrant hub of creativity and community spirit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. Sponsored by Sheetz and the Downtown Business Council, this free street festival promises a delightful day filled with arts, crafts, food and entertainment.

This year, AppleFest aims to enhance its offerings by encouraging participation from fine arts crafters. Organizers are particularly interested in innovative products that can add to the festival’s unique charm. Interested vendors can apply through the Downtown Business Council’s website.
One of the standout features of AppleFest is the Foundry Art Market’s Annual Artist Challenge, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Artists will create works live in front of festival-goers, with completed pieces displayed at the Foundry until Nov. 30. Attendees can purchase tickets for a chance to win their favorite artwork, with proceeds supporting local artists.
AppleFest not only highlights local artisans but also supports small businesses in the area. Shops and restaurants along Main Street will be open for visitors to explore and enjoy.
