3rd annual Women In Business Conference set to inspire empower

CHAMBERSBURG – More than 200 women are expected at the South Central Pennsylvania Women In Business Conference on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. event takes place at the Antrim Brethren In Christ Church, 24 Kauffman Road E. This event marks the third annual gathering, designed to unite professional women from various sectors for a day of inspiration, learning and networking.

The day is organized in partnership by the Shippensburg Area Chamber of Commerce and Waynesboro Area Chamber of Commerce. The conference promises a comprehensive agenda tailored to empower women in business. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities including:

  • Keynote speakers and breakout sessions covering a wide range of topics aimed at personal and professional development. Some of the notable sessions include “Speed Connecting” with Mary Ellen Waltemire,;”Inhale, Exhale Repeat” with Louise Kemper and Leslie Punt; and “Increase Your Visibility With Media” led by Doreen Laskiewicz.
  • Participants can connect with like-minded professionals through structured networking sessions such as “Small Talk, Big Impact” with Kelli Furman and “Collaboration Over Competition” with Chandra Metz.
  • Workshops like “Crafting Your Ideal Day” by Sierra Collins and “The Power of Emotional Intelligence” by Heather Hockenberry aim to help attendees balance their professional demands with personal fulfillment.
  • Sessions such as “Food for Thought – Break Unhealthy Food Patterns” by Holly Bertone and “Strategies to Prevent Burnout” by Ashley Winters and Jess Zepp emphasize the importance of well-being in leadership roles.

The conference will also include a continental breakfast, lunch, a dessert bar, professional headshots, and swag bags for all attendees. The registration fee is set at $40, which covers all these amenities along with access to the full day of sessions.
