The Union Soccer Club, based in Chambersburg, is having a solid season on the pitch this fall.
We counted six teams from the USC that sport winning records, including a pair of girls clubs that are off to unbeaten starts in Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League this season. The U10 Wildfire are 3-0 and outscoring opponents by a 13-5 margin, while the U11 Mambas have been pasting opponents by a 24-2 score on their way to a 3-0 record.
Another USC team, the boys U11 Vikings, are 3-1 and holding the top spot in CPYSL Division 3-Red.
The United Recreational Soccer League includes at least one area squad with a winning record. The Waynesboro Maidens, a fifth- and sixth-grade team, are 2-1.
