WAYNESBORO – The late Jeannette Reid Joiner (1922–1996), a “society” editor of The Record Herald and editor of a Record Herald cookbook, will be the subject of the next third Thursday Biography Breakfast.
The meeting will be held at 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at Main Street Family Diner, 1543 E. Main St. The event is open to the public, but reservations are required.
TTBB is a study group of Antietam Historical Association focusing on “deceased local residents who are not already history-book celebrities,” nominated by members of the group.
In previous eras “society” editors ran sections of the newspaper devoted to recipes, engagements, weddings, parties, fashion and home improvement.
