No matter the level, consistently winning football games is no easy task: It’s an art form that requires talent, discipline, teamwork and sometimes a little bit of luck.
It’s nothing that local youth football squads haven’t been able to handle, as we counted at least six teams from the Local.News area who are off to unbeaten starts this fall.
In the Capital Football Association Youth Football League, Fairfield’s Pony group is off to a 3-0 start and outscoring opponents 107-27 in the process. Chambersburg’s Peewee team is also undefeated at 2-0.
The Keystone Youth Football and Cheerleading League features a pair of area programs setting the gold standard: The Hamilton Jaguars and Hagerstown Hubs. Hamilton boasts a pair of 3-0 squads in its varsity and junior varsity teams, while Hagerstown’s mid varsity and JV outfits are also both 3-0.
Action in both leagues is scheduled to heat up again this weekend.
