Recently, PennDOT submitted its updated infrastructure plan to the Federal Highway Administration, which outlines progress on the a nationwide electric vehicle infrastructure plan and how Pennsylvania’s program will begin.
“The next step in making EVs a reliable option for Pennsylvania drivers is local access to charging,” said PennDOT Secretary Mike Carroll. “Since these chargers will be in communities, it’s vital that we hear what folks around the state think is important.”
The charging station program is part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which provides states with $7.5 billion to help make EV charging more accessible to all Americans for local and long-distance trips.
