CHAMBERSBURG – Visitors to Chambersburg can enjoy a stunning display of sunflowers at Lesher Poultry Farm, where fields are currently in peak bloom. The sunflower fields are along Rt. 914 (Swamp Fox Road), near the convergence of Rt. 316 and Rt. 914.

This family-owned farm began planting sunflowers in 2011 as an alternative crop and has since expanded to more than 200 acres, attracting thousands of visitors each summer.

The farm welcomes the public to explore the fields free of charge, with designated parking areas for safety. Visitors are encouraged to take photos and can also cut sunflowers for a suggested donation of $1 per stem. The fields are open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, and pets are allowed on leashes.

Peak bloom is expected to last through Sept. 7, but the flowers will remain vibrant for most of the month. The farm has become a popular destination for families and photographers alike, providing a picturesque backdrop for memorable outings. For more information, visitors can check the farm’s website or its Facebook page.
