WAYNESBORO – The Jammin’ in the Park annual Music and Arts Festival took place from 1-7 p.m. Sept. 1 at Waynesboro’s downtown Main Street Park. The event, organized by the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro as part of Destination ARTS!, featured a full day of entertainment with nine local bands performing on two stages. Among notable acts were The Loose Screws, The Flying Matlocks and Big Whiskey, showcasing a variety of musical styles such as classic rock, Americana and jazz. The festival was family-friendly, offering an expanded Kid Zone with numerous free activities, including mini golf, face painting and art projects. Several arts vendors displayed unique artwork for sale, while six food trucks provided diverse culinary options. The event served as a fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting the Arts Alliance.
