CVAS Pet of the week: Juma

Looking for a new friend? The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter is featuring these Pets of the Week. For more information, interested would-be pet parents may visit http://www.cvas-pets.org/ or call 717-263-5791.

Juma was found running under an overpass of Interstate 81. He is one very lucky pup to have been picked up safe and sound without being hit by a car. Juma is a playful 9-month-old retriever who is still very much a puppy! He will need someone who understands the time and patience that goes into training a puppy. Juma would love to find out what a loving forever home is all about! CVAS, 5051 Letterkenny Rd. W., Chambersburg, Kennel License #2090

Jemma

When Jemma was brought into the shelter as a stray, she was very underweight. She needed to be fed in multiple small meals in order for her to gain weight and not have refeeding syndrome, where if food is introduced too quickly, it can cause serious problems. Jemma is an 11-month-old, shy but sweet terrier mix who has had a rough start to her young life. She would love to find a loving forever home where she will not have to worry about where her next meal will be coming from. Due to her history of not having enough food, Jemma may need to be fed separately from other dogs that may reside in the home. Could you show this sweetheart what a dog’s life should be all about?
