BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT — Activities ranging from storytime for children, to adult crafts to teen and tween events are set this week at the Blue Ridge Summit Free Library. Events this week include:

  • All FCLS Libraries will be closed on Monday, September 2, for Labor Day. Libraries will reopen as usual on Tuesday.
  • Reboot! Adult Digital Literacy: Those who want to learn more about computers and how to navigate them are welcome to start classrom 2:30-4 p.m. on Sept. 4; the class meets every other Wednesday. These lessons are designed to instruct older adults on a wide variety of digital literacy topics! One-on-one tech help will also be provided as time allows. Ten slots are available per session; those interested may stop by the library or call 717-794-2240 to reserve a spot. If spots are filled, a waitlist is available. This week’s topic is: Google Slides.
  • Teen and Tween Night: Teens and tweens are welcome from 4:30-6 p.m. Ages 10 to 17 are welcome to join the weekly Thursday program. The group typically plays games, makes crafts, eats snacks, and has a great time!
  • Dungeons & Dragons: Teen Adventure*: If enough teens sign up, there will be holding another installment of the Teen and Tween D&D campaign at 6:15 p.m. on Sept. 5. There is room for eight players, new or returning. Those attending both teen programs that evening should bring a meal, snack, or money for something from Rio7.
  • There will be no Storytime on Saturday, Sept. 7. Those interested may stop in for a grab and go craft instead!
