This event invites participants to unwind during golden hour while enjoying herbal and botanical-inspired mocktails and a beautifully crafted grazing table. Attendees will have the opportunity to create their own unique floral arrangements, with all necessary supplies provided. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and floral attire to enhance the experience. The event is designed for flower enthusiasts and promises a sensory experience amidst the garden’s beauty.

Experience gospel music live. The Pennsylvania Gospel Festival, taking place from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1, at the Luhrs Performing Arts Center in Shippensburg, is a three-day event showcasing renowned gospel artists. The festival will feature performances by well-known groups such as the Booth Brothers, Legacy Five, The Erwins and The Hoppers, along with comedian Mark Lowry. Each day includes multiple sessions, starting with the first on Friday at 7 p.m., followed by two sessions on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and concluding with a Sunday session at 3 p.m.. Tickets are available for single sessions or as packages, with prices ranging from $25 to $139, depending on the seating choice.

Step right up for corn-credible fun. The 43rd Annual Shippensburg Corn Festival is set to take place on Saturday, Aug. 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Shippensburg. This popular event will feature more than 250 craft and food vendors, offering a wide array of delicious options and unique handmade items. Families can enjoy a day filled with free entertainment, including live music, demonstrations and a lively corn-eating contest. Attendees are reminded that all events at the festival are free of charge, making it an accessible outing for everyone.

Discover history at Antietam Battlefield. Antietam National Battlefield, located at 5831 Dunker Church Road, Sharpsburg, Md., will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1924 Marine Corps Maneuvers on Friday, Aug. 31 and Saturday, Sept. 1. This event commemorates a moment in time when more than 3,000 Marines marched from Quantico, Va., to participate in 11 days of training and public events on the historic battlefield. The celebration will feature displays of historic Marine Corps uniforms and equipment from that period, presented by the Marine Corps Historical Company and the National Museum of the United States Navy. A highlight of the event will be a commemorative ceremony at 1 p.m. Saturday, featuring a brass quintet from “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band and talks by notable historians. This commemoration provides an opportunity for visitors to engage with an important chapter of American military history.
