HAGERSTOWN, Md. – Some AT&T Mobility subscribers are impacted by a network service outage when trying to dial 911, officials of the Washington County’s 911 Communications Center have noted.

AT&T Mobility has confirmed that their teams are actively working to isolate and resolve the issue. However, the specific cause of the service outage has not yet been determined. Officials said they understand the critical nature of this situation and are in constant communication with AT&T to ensure that this issue is resolved as quickly as possible.

Residents who use AT&T Mobility as their wireless carrier are advised to be aware of the potential difficulties when placing emergency calls. Those who experience any issues while dialing 9-1-1, should attempt to call again or use an alternative method to reach emergency services, such as a landline or a different wireless carrier, if available.
