BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT — Activities ranging from storytime for children, to adult crafts to teen and tween events are set this week at the Blue Ridge Summit Free Library. Events this week include:
- Children’s Storytime, Monday, Aug. 26, drop in from 4 to 5 p.m. Children and parents can join in for a weekly story, craft or coloring sheet, and play time.
- Adult Crafternoon: Hollowed Book Box Part Two: Those interested can come between 3 and 5 p.m on Wednesday, Aug. 28, to work on their own hollowed book box for little treasures! This is a project for both July and August, though individuals are welcome to come to only one session. While supplies are furnished, crafters are encouraged to bring their own exacto knives and cutting mats if they have them. Crafternoon programs are intended to provide a time of creativity and relaxation for adults in the community. Suggestions for craft ideas may be emailed to [email protected].
- Teen and Tween Night: Those ages 10 to 17 are welcome from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29. Those in the weekly Thursday program typically play games, make crafts, eat snacks and have fun.
- There will be no Storytime on Saturday, Aug. 31. However, individuals may stop in for a grab and go craft instead.
Additional activities at the library may be obtained at their website.
