  • Children’s Storytime: Monday, Aug. 19, drop in from 4 to 5 p.m. Children and parents can join in for a weekly story, craft or coloring sheet, and play time!
  • Blue Ridge Summit Book Club: Monday, Aug. 19. This club meets the third Monday of every month from 5 to 6 p.m., unless that day falls on a holiday. This month, the book choice is “Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood” by Marjane Satrapi. This is an autobiographical young adult graphic novel about Satrapi’s experiences growing up during the Iranian Revolution.  Copies are available at the library, and all are welcome to join the discussion.
  • Summit Stitchers: Tuesday, Aug. 20, Blue Ridge Summit’s quilting club will have its monthly meeting in the community room from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. New members are welcome.
  • Reboot! Adult Digital Literacy: Want to learn more about computers and how to navigate them? Join in on Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 2:30 to 4 p.m; the group will meet every other Wednesday. These lessons are designed to instruct older adults on a wide variety of digital literacy topics! One-on-one tech help will also be provided as time allows. Ten slots are available per session; those interested may stop by the library or call 717-794-2240 to reserve a spot. Two spots are left for this week. If spots are filled, interested parties will be put on the waitlist. This week’s topic is: Google Drive and Google Docs.
  • Teen and Tween Night: Those ages 10 to 17 are welcome from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22. Those in the weekly Thursday program typically play games, make crafts, eat snacks and have fun.
  • Children’s Storytime (Saturday)People may come for all or part of the hour between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Aug. 24 for Saturday Storytime! These stories, crafts and activities are different from those on Mondays.
