Art meets nature: New exhibit celebrates flora and fauna

WAYNESBORO — An upcoming art exhibit titled “Where the Wild Things Are: Flora and Fauna in Art” will be open Friday, Aug. 16, at Gallery 50, located at 50 West Main St. in the downtown area.

The exhibit will run from Friday through Oct. 26, showcasing a vibrant collection of artworks inspired by the natural world.

The opening reception is scheduled from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, featuring live music by Samz@7 with Tresa Day.

Gallery hours will be Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Visitors can expect to immerse themselves in a variety of artistic expressions that celebrate the beauty and diversity of nature, making it a must-see for art lovers and nature enthusiasts alike, a gallery spokesperson said. This exhibit not only highlights the creativity of local artists but also aims to foster a deeper appreciation for the natural environment through art.
