FAYETTEVILLE — The 45th Annual Budweiser Open will take place on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 12 and 13, at the Founders Course of Penn National Golf Club & Inn in Fayetteville. This golf tournament invites participants to engage in a friendly competition while enjoying the scenic beauty of the course. The event will run in two time slots each day: from 7 a.m.-9 a.m. and again from noon-2 p.m.
The format of the tournament is a four-person scramble, allowing teams to collaborate and strategize for the best possible scores. Participants can expect a competitive atmosphere with scores being compiled over the two-day tournament across three flights, organizers noted.
The entry fee for the tournament is set at $480 per foursome, which includes greens fees and cart rental. In addition to the game, more than $2,000 in prizes and gift certificates will be awarded to the winners. If six or more women’s foursomes register, a separate women’s division will be established as well.
For those interested in joining the tournament or seeking sponsorship opportunities, entry forms and sponsor forms are available through the Greater Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce. This annual event not only highlights the sport of golf, but also fosters community spirit and camaraderie among participants, organizers said.
