HAGERSTOWN, Md. – Parents, grandparents, do you remember the thrill of Little League for yourself or watching your child or grandchild take part?

If so, you can imagine the excitement of the new Hub City Little League, whose 9-10-year-old All-Star Team has won the Maryland State Tournament! The team now has the chance to compete in the Little League Eastern Tournament in Cranston, R.I., August 2-10.

It’s coming right up, folks, and your help is needed. The team could use donations for gas, food and lodging during the tournament. Many parent chaperones are taking time off to get them there, cheer them on and bring the champs safely home.

Coach Chad Secrest is urging you to visit the group’s Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/HubCityLL.

The achievement of this group is even more impressive since this is the inaugural year of the merger between the Maugansville and West End Little Leagues.

Any donation, large or small, is appreciated, the coach said.
