CHAMBERSBURG – Franklin County Commissioners will meet Aug. 21 at the Fannett-Metal Elementary School in Willow Hill, as part of their effort to make meetings more convenient for more residents.
The meeting will be the second of the commissioners’ quarterly “on the road” meetings to be held at off-site locations around Franklin County. The meeting will begin at 6:30p.m. at the school located at 14823 Path Valley Road.
Commissioners’ public board meetings are normally held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Franklin County Administration Building in Chambersburg. Earlier this year, the commissioners decided to hold an evening meeting on the third Wednesday of each month with one quarterly meeting to be held at an off-site location. In doing so, the commissioners hoped residents who may not be able to attend daytime meetings would be able to attend. The off-site locations expand that idea.
An Oct. 16 meeting will be at a location yet to be announced in Washington Township. More information on Franklin County Commissioners meetings can be found athttps://bit.ly/BOCCLiveStream or by calingl 717-264-4125
