The Franklin County Visitors Bureau is set to host the A Cappella & Unplugged Finals on Saturday, July 20, at 7 p.m. on the Franklin County Courthouse steps in downtown Chambersburg. Five finalists, including Jeff Trish, Marissa Porter, Kiley Heltzel, Calamity & Justus, and Paul Minnich, will compete for a $500 grand prize. The free event, part of the annual ChambersFest celebration, will showcase performers vying for audience votes to determine the winner. The Washington County Playhouse Dinner Theater is set to launch its production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” on Friday, July 19, marking the opening weekend of this beloved musical. The show, a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, will run through August 18, at the theater located at 44 N. Potomac Street, Rear, in Hagerstown. Known for its catchy tunes and diverse musical styles, “Joseph” features a mix of genres including French ballads, country-western, and calypso.
