YORK– Demonstrating excellence in healthcare, six WellSpan Hospitals were named “high performing” U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-2025 Best Hospitals: Procedures & Conditions ratings with 15 recognitions across varying specialties.
“We are incredibly proud of our team’s relentless pursuit of excellence and their commitment to caring for our community,” said Dr. Mike Seim, senior vice president and chief quality officer at WellSpan Health. “Together, we are making a difference in the lives of the communities we serve through high quality care and improved patient outcomes.”
More than 4,300 hospitals were evaluated using methods developed by health researchers at U.S. News & World Report across 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions. Each hospital that met the rating criteria was assigned to one of three overall performance bands – high performing, average and below average, so that patients and families can quickly identify hospitals whose performance meets or exceeds the national norm. Fewer than half of all hospitals received any high performing rating.
