WAYNESBORO — Laine Hess, a member of the Waynesboro Area Senior High School Class of 2026, has been crowned the 2024 Franklin County Fair Princess. The announcement was made earlier this week, marking the beginning of Hess’s reign as she joins the Royalty Court in promoting the Franklin County Fair and the importance of agriculture throughout the year.
Hess, along with other members of the Royalty Court, will participate in a variety of events including parades, other fairs across Pennsylvania, the Fall Farm Fun Fest, and Farm Bureau meetings. These engagements aim to highlight the significance of agriculture in Franklin County and to encourage community involvement in agricultural activities.
The crowning event saw Hess competing alongside other contestants:
Queen – Carlea Hutchison
Princess – Laine Hess
Little Miss – Kaylee Cotton
Queen Alternate – Kamea Pierce
Princess Alternate – Arielle Andrews
Little Miss Alternate – Kynsee Coons
The Royalty Court plays a crucial role in representing the fair at various functions and fostering a deeper connection between the fair and the local community.
