WAYNESBORO – The Wayne Band, a cornerstone of Waynesboro’s musical heritage, is set to commemorate its 125th anniversary with a special joint concert on Sunday, July 21. The event will feature a collaboration with the Mercersburg Area Community Band, bringing together over 45 musicians for an afternoon of musical celebration.
The concert is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the pavilion of the Church of the Apostles, located at 336 Barnett Ave. in Waynesboro. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the outdoor performance.
The program will showcase a diverse repertoire of standard band literature, including marches and showtunes, highlighting the rich musical tradition that the Wayne Band has maintained for over a century.
