Last Meeting’s Program (7.2.24 bulletin)
Rotary in the Park – Past President Derek Furry lead the program. He noted the catering was done by Summer Creek Catering. They were scheduled several times in the winter when the kitchen of the Country Club was undergoing renovations but at those times the meetings were snowed out. No snow today, however.
Our annual meeting of Rotary in the Park is the time when we acknowledge those with one year’s perfect attendance, and those individuals who have made certain donations who have performed other meritorious contributions to the club.
Certificates of perfect attendance were received by: Gary Barton, Rick Boyer, Frank Conway, Dan DeDona, Jon Fleagle, John Frey, Derek Furry, Paul Gunder (who has 16 years of perfect attendance), Lloyd Hamberger, Eric Holtzman, Dave Logan, Dave Thompson, Denny Koons, Brian Lucas, Dick Marks, Brian Shook, Richard Starliper, Joe Stewart, and Matt Gunder.
Cash donations of a certain level – $1,000+
Paul Harris Fellows:
Dan DeDona (sixth one), Dick Marks, and Brian Lucas. (Brian was the recipient of PHF points from Rodger Savage).
Thompson Scholarship: Bob Zimmerman
Piatt Scholarship: Bob Zimmerman and Chris Unger.
There are also several unnamed individuals who make periodic deductions from their due’s payment to the above scholarships. The Bill Shank family also made a generous donation to the Piatt Scholarship.
