7-Year-Old Boy Dies in Tragic Farm Machinery Accident in Franklin County

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP- A 7-year-old boy died in a tragic farming accident on Tuesday in Franklin County, Pennsylvania State Police reported.

The incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. on July 2 at a farm near the intersection of Young Road and Mercersburg Road in Montgomery Township. According to authorities, the child was assisting with farm work when he was struck by a piece of machinery.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. State police from the Chambersburg barracks responded to the scene after receiving reports of the accident.

Following an investigation, officials determined the incident was not suspicious in nature and there was no evidence of foul play. The identity of the young victim has not been released, and no further details about the specific circumstances of the accident were immediately available.
