HAGERSTOWN, MD – The Washington County Division of Emergency Services responded to a mutual aid call in Franklin County, PA for a confined space rescue involving an individual trapped in a grain silo. The incident prompted a swift and coordinated response from multiple fire and rescue units within Washington and Franklin Counties.

The County aided Rescue Hose Company No.1 of Greencastle, PA. Our collaboration ensured a swift and effective rescue operation. The victim was trapped for over 4 hours, but was safely extricated and transported to an area hospital.
