Kaya came to us as a stray in August 2023 and is almost to her one-year-anniversary of being here with us. Kaya is a very excitable pup and would love to find a home where she can get plenty of exercise, both physical and mental!
This sweet pup loves attention and loves everyone she meets! Kaya is as affectionate as they come and enjoys nothing more than snuggling up close to someone and getting all the attention she can. Playing fetch is a close second, though! Kaya needs nothing more than a tennis ball or squeaky toy and is happy to bound after anything tossed for her! Kaya does well on the leash when she has settled down and also enjoys playing in the yard. She LOVES her toys and is more play motivated than treat motivated. This pretty girl currently knows sit and down and is excited to learn more!
Kaya does need to be the only animal in her forever home. She has not done well with other dogs or cats and would love to find a place where she is the only furry love in your heart! She has done wonderful with the children she has met while in our care and would not mind a young human friend to keep her company! There are times she forgets how large she is in her excitement to greet new people and will need some work on learning that she gets just as much love with all four paws on the ground as she would if she hopped up to say hello.
