Celebrate Jim’s Success! On Friday, June 14, 3 to 8 p.m., “Jim’s Birthday Bash” will be held in Chambersburg to celebrate the 44th anniversary of Jim’s business. The event will feature food trucks such as Boost Burger, Pizza Shack, Rollz on Wheelz, Grappling Crab Shack, Hurcules Kitchen, Uncle Eddie’s BBQ, and Bernard’s Jamaican Jerk Chicken, as well as $1 prize games, free samples, bounce houses, and entertainment. Neighboring businesses like Omega Coffee and Gearhouse Brewing Company will also participate, with Omega offering seasonal specials until 8p.m., and Gearhouse hosting a beer tent, Presta Pizza trailer, and live music from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Additionally, Jim’s will offer free giveaways and door prizes inside from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Experience Automotive Extravaganza. The Father’s Day Weekend Car & Truck Show is an annual event held in downtown Waynesboro, featuring cars and trucks of all makes and models. It takes place on Saturday, June 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Main Street, spanning from Broad to Potomac Streets. The show is free for spectators, while vehicle registration costs $15, with dash plaques given to the first 200 entrants. Prizes will be awarded at 2 p.m. in several categories, including Best of Show for cars and trucks, with trophies for the Top 40 vehicles. Live music will be provided by DJ Keith Grossnickle, and food and beverage vendors will be available. Additionally, the Market at the Park event will run concurrently from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Discover Art and Inspire Young Innovators. The Council for the Arts in Chambersburg will offer a free mini art classes for children ages 6 and up on Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to noon features maker and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) stations including water science, chain reactions, post-it art, stop-motion animation, magnets, robot Olympics, video games and various art projects. The classes are sponsored by The Foundation for Enhancing Communities and held at the Council for the Arts at 103 N. Main St. in Chambersburg.

Explore Aviation History. The Hagerstown Aviation Museum will host an Open Airplane Day on Sunday, June 16 to celebrate Father’s Day. This special event offers families the chance to get up close with various aircraft on display. Visitors can explore different exhibits and even climb aboard select museum pieces. The Open Airplane Day festivities run from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., allowing ample time to take in the museum’s offerings. Informative signage will be available throughout the event to guide attendees and provide additional details. Enjoy An Outdoor Movie. The City Park in Hagerstown, MD will host a free outdoor movie nights this summer. Before each movie begins at dusk, fun activities kick off at 7 p.m. to get attendees in a festive mood. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs, though the band shell benches provide ample seating as well. Concessions will be available for purchase to enjoy a treat under the stars. On Friday, June 14, the featured film is the nostalgic 1990s comedy “The Sandlot” rated PG, providing an evening of family-friendly entertainment in the picturesque setting of City Park.
