Wilson College Alumna Appointed to Lead Washington County Agriculture Initiatives

HAGERSTOWN, MD – The Washington County Department of Business and Economic Development is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelsey Keadle as the new Business Specialist, Agriculture, effective May 2024.

Kelsey Keadle joins the County with a robust background in agribusiness, having held various roles in management, business growth and development, and strategic planning and execution. Her most recent position was with a local onsite dairy processor, where she honed her expertise in the agricultural sector.

Kelsey is an alumna of Wilson College, where she earned a degree in Business Management with a minor in Animal Science. Her extensive and diverse experience in agribusiness includes working with various agricultural organizations at both the local and state levels. Kelsey also serves on the board of the Washington County Farm Bureau and is the chair of the Washington County Young Farmers.

Residing in Sharpsburg with her husband Austin and their 1-year-old daughter, Kelsey enjoys spending her spare time outdoors and volunteering in the community. Her personal interests include tending to her animals and engaging in community service activities.

The Washington County Government looks forward to the innovative contributions Kelsey will bring to her new role and the continued growth and support of the local agricultural community.
