Summer Adventures at the Library

WAYNESBORO- The Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library in downtown Waynesboro, is offering a summer filled with adventures for children and families. The festivities kick off June 8 with a Summer Reading Challenge launch party featuring ice cream, hot dogs, science activities and crafts. The library’s annual Summer Reading Program encourages reading with incentives and prizes around this year’s “Adventure Starts Here” theme. Weekly STEAM activities run June 10-August in the Makerspace, while other events include Lego building, theater shows, mini golf, archaeology, hiking, boat races, campfires and more. The independent library, recertified as a PA Forward Gold Star Library for its community outreach, provides free access to books, technology and educational opportunities.
