Patriot Federal Credit Union recently donated $3,500 to the Franklin County Library System to help with the cost of their fundraising campaign that brought in over $80,000 for the library system and generated nearly 500 new individual and corporate donors.
The Franklin County Library System provides public library services throughout Franklin County, with branches in Chambersburg (2), Greencastle, St. Thomas, Blue Ridge Summit, and two mobile libraries throughout the county. Funds raised are used for operational expenses associated with the branches, including the mobile libraries. Expenses include staffing, maintenance, purchasing books as well as program materials for patrons of all ages.
