CHAMBERSBURG – The Franklin County Commissioners are pleased to announce the board’s June 19 public meeting will be held at the Antrim Township Municipal Office.

The June 19 meeting will be the first of the commissioners’ quarterly “on the road” public board meetings to be held at off-site locations around Franklin County. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the facility located at 10655 Antrim Church Road, Greencastle.

Commissioners’ public board meetings are normally held on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at the Franklin County Administration Building in Chambersburg. Earlier this year, the commissioners announced plans to host an evening meeting on the third Wednesday of each month with one quarterly meeting to be held at an off-site location. In doing so, the commissioners are offering residents who may not be able to attend daytime meetings a greater opportunity for public engagement. Additionally, by moving meetings to other spots in the county, the commissioners hope to make attending meetings more accessible and convenient for residents who live outside of Chambersburg.

The schedule and location for evening meetings is as follows:

  • July 17: Franklin County Administration Building;
  • Aug. 21: to-be-determined off-site location;
  • Sept. 18: Franklin County Administration Building;
  • Oct. 16: to-be-determined off-site location;
  • Nov. 20: Franklin County Administration Building; and
  • Dec. 18: Franklin County Administration Building

Additional information on the other off-site meeting locations will be announced at a later date when details are finalized.
