WAYNESBORO – Bibliophiles and those looking to declutter their homes have an opportunity to buy and donate books next month. The Friends of Monterey Pass is hosting a community book sale from June 1 through 23 to raise funds for the Monterey Pass Battlefield Park & Museum.

Residents are encouraged to bring any unwanted books from their basements, spare rooms or garages to R. Lee Royer & Associates at 10764 Buchanan Trail East in Waynesboro. Book donations will be accepted during normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, until June 23.

The book sale will take place every weekend in June at the Monterey Pass Battlefield Museum located at 14325 Buchanan Trail East in Waynesboro. The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays for the public to browse and purchase donated books.

Any remaining books after the sale will be donated to the Blue Ridge Summit Library. For more information about donating or purchasing books, contact the organizers at 717-762-5619, [email protected], or [email protected].
