CHAMBERSBURG- Students from the Diesel Mechanics program at the Franklin County Career and Technology Center had an enriching field trip this week.
On Tuesday, the class visited Kenworth of Pennsylvania, one of their workforce sponsors. The students got an inside look at Kenworth’s facility, touring the premises and learning about the company’s operations. A highlight was connecting with a senior classmate who is currently doing a co-op placement at Kenworth, getting first-hand insights into applying their training in the real world.
After the engaging facility tour, the class instructor, Mr. Grove, treated the students to ice cream – the perfect way to cap off a beautiful May day. The hands-on experience and opportunity to interact with industry professionals provided valuable real-world context for the students’ studies.
