The 34th annual Youth Festival was a resounding success. Presented by the Buttonwood Nature Center, the free outdoor event catered to kids of all ages with a variety of interactive activities, demonstrations, exhibits, and entertainment. Highlights included a lively performance by artist and musician Mark DeRose, a StoryWalk® and craft led by the enthusiastic Buttonwood staff, and a delightful presentation by the talented Waynesboro Children’s Theater Troupe. Various organizations hosted engaging stations, promoting outdoor play, education, and healthy activities for children. The event celebrated the Earth through an interactive rain table and a popular bird house auction. With the support of generous sponsors and the local community, the Youth Festival provided a fun and engaging day for families in Waynesboro on Sunday, May 19, from 1 to 5 p.m.
