Waynesboro Community Concert Association concludes its 86th year and the 2023-2024 season on Sunday, May 5, 2024 with The Dallas Brass.
The Dallas Brass has become one of America’s foremost musical ensembles.
This six-piece group has a unique blend of traditional brass instruments with a full complement of drums and percussion. The Dallas Brass repertoire includes classical masterpieces, Dixieland, swing, Broadway, Hollywood and patriotic music.
The concert will be held on May 5 at 3 PM in the Waynesboro Area Senior High School auditorium.
New subscribers for the 2024-2025 season may attend this concert for free.
Subscriptions are still $50 and individual concert tickets are $25, both available at the door or online at www.waynesboropaconcerts.org. Subscriptions include concerts hosted by Gettysburg, PA and Hagerstown, MD community concert associations.
Students from kindergarten through high school are invited to attend for free. Those in K-8 grade must be accompanied by a paying adult.
All WCCA concerts are held on Sundays at 3 PM in the WASH auditorium.
The concerts for the 2024-2025 season, “Shining Moments”, include: Bachelors of Broadway, MusiKaravan, Forever Simon and Garfunkel, Kate Voss and the Hot Sauce, and Frederick Moyer and the Fred Moyer Jazz Trio.
WCCA awards a Joseph Bowers Scholarship and the Kowallis Family Scholarship each spring to a graduating WASH student(s) who will pursue further music study in college.
