Waynesboro Area Cancer Auction Raises Over $120,000 for Local Patients

“The Waynesboro Area Cancer Auction surpassed our expectations, raising over $120,000 for local patients,” said Ali Huber, who co-chaired the 42nd event April 20 in Green Grove Gardens, Greencastle. “This is our most successful auction yet, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible generosity of our community,” added Huber.

An “ultimate football game experience” at FedEx Field to see the Washington Commanders received a top bid of $9,200.

A fiesta dinner party hosted by Amy Stevens garnered $8,500.

A private showing of a movie of choice for 50 people at Waynesboro Theatre was sold for $3,400.

Various handmade outdoor furniture pieces were also a hit, earning high bids of between $300 and $575, according to Kristyn Martin, co-chair.

“We are so grateful to everyone who participated, donated, and volunteered their time,” added Martin. “These funds will have a direct impact on cancer patients and their families in Franklin County, providing vital support during a difficult time. The Waynesboro Area Cancer Auction extends its heartfelt thanks to the entire community for its continued support.”
