The Pennsylvania Freedom Caucus (PAFC) and the Citizens Alliance of Pennsylvania (CAP) have endorsed Janon Gray as their candidate of choice for the 2024 HD 90 race.
Established in December of 2022, the Pennsylvania Freedom Caucus enters a first race to wield its political muscle. With the retirement of one of the PAFC‘s founding members, Rep. Paul Schemel, the PAFC has chosen to throw their support behind Janon Gray for the upcoming Republican Primary on April 23. Rep. Schemel pledged not to interfere in his constituents’ next choice of state representative and the PAFC verified he was not part of its endorsement process.
Janon Gray said, “I am honored that the Pennsylvania Freedom Caucus decided to get involved in this race. I am proud to receive their endorsement. As Representative of the 90th District I will continue to fight to preserve our values, strengthen our foundation for the future and push back at the political establishment in Harrisburg.”
Gray is a Greencastle resident who serves as the Vice-President of the Greencastle-Antrim School Board. Janon’s 27 years of experience in finance and accounting will help bring fiscal responsibility back to Harrisburg where he will fight against bloated budgets and unsustainable spending increases.
The Pennsylvania Freedom Caucus is part of the State Freedom Caucus Network, which was launched to help conservative lawmakers come together, organize, and fight for the principles in which they believe. The PAFC has taken the lead in the Commonwealth to shrink the size of government and reduce spending.
The Citizens Alliance of Pennsylvania (CAP) also endorsed Janon Gray for the hotly contested race in the 90th legislative district in southern Franklin County.
Citizens Alliance of Pennsylvania is an advocacy group which formed in the years following the midnight legislative pay raise. It was started by a group of Pennsylvanians, who wanted to see citizen-focused change in Pennsylvania politics. CAP’s goal is to find legislators who will perform an act of political integrity and courage by making a public commitment to represent the values of Pennsylvania citizens in Harrisburg.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Citizens Alliance of Pennsylvania”, Gray said. “I pledge to lead with transparency, while holding steadfast to our constitutional principles. As a legislator I will govern, with the God given liberties of our citizens at the forefront. I will never bow to the establishment and their special interests.”
CAP’s confidence in being so transparent comes from their strong belief that their values represent the best of Pennsylvania. When they are genuinely represented in Harrisburg, CAP believes Pennsylvania will be a beacon of liberty, equality and prosperity that will shine across the nation.
