Last Meeting’s Program (2.27.24 bulletin)
Brian Stevenson, Coordinator of 911 and Communications for Franklin County, and Glenn Holloway, director of Franklin County Department of Emergency Services discussed the county’s Emergency Services Program. It was noted that the 911 center received over 111,000 calls during 2023, of which approximately 83,000 of them required some sort of emergency response. An upgraded, advanced 911 system is planned for introduction in early fall of 2024. The County’s Emergency Services Office assists and coordinates with the local municipality’s emergency services to respond and deal with emergencies in their area.
