Indulge in a Chocolate Extravaganza at Main Street Waynesboro’s Annual Chocolate Excursion

WAYNESBORO- The Main Street Waynesboro Chocolate Excursion, set to take place at the American Legion on 63 East Main St. in Waynesboro, promises an indulgent afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 2.

Attendees can look forward to a delightful combination of chocolate, champagne, and live music by Kerensa Gray from 4 to 5 p.m. With a total of 18 stops scattered throughout downtown Waynesboro, participants will have the opportunity to savor a wide array of chocolatey treats. The journey culminates at the American Legion for a champagne hour and musical entertainment. A new addition this year is the Boro Bake-Off, boasting over 20 entries. Attendees can also partake in raffles for a chance to win delectable chocolate cakes and explore the offerings of a silent auction.

Among the featured stops are popular establishments like The Candy Kitchen, The Crispy Biscuit, Cupcake Gypsy, Wednesday Coffee, Sarah’s Eats & Treats, Rough Edges Brewing, The Waynesburger, Sweet Thyme, Classmate Creations, and Zoe’s Chocolate Co. Noteworthy highlights include chocolate wine samples at the Wee Scott Book Shoppe and various downtown stores sharing their favorite chocolate selections.

As winter gives way to spring, the Chocolate Excursion promises a tasteful celebration of the season. This year marks the event’s third edition, offering attendees the chance to embark on a flavorful journey through downtown Waynesboro.

To participate, attendees can acquire advance tickets for $25 per person or opt for on-site purchases at $30 per person. By obtaining a passport and map at the American Legion, guests can navigate their way through a diverse selection of chocolates, beers, wines, and other chocolate-infused delights at numerous local businesses. Additionally, this year’s event features an exciting baking competition open to both seasoned bakers and amateurs alike.
