HAGERSTOWN, MD- The Washington County Arts Council will host its Fourteenth annual fundraising dinner, “The Art of Cooking” at Fountain Head Country Club on Saturday, January 27. (Snow date: January 28, 2024).
Pieter Bickford of HighRock Studios and Michelle Lovelace of Meritus are co-emcees for the Art of Cooking 2024 an event which features local “celebrity chefs” who will demonstrate their culinary skills, share their favorite recipes and treat guests to delicious foods and selected wines all presented with an artful flair.
Pieter Bickford and Michelle Lovelace will entertain the guests in FHCC’s ballroom along with the guest chefs, who will explain their recipes followed by a taped demonstration of the steps to creating an irresistible dish. Then Fountain Head Executive Chef Todd Reynolds; Sous-Chef Dawn Boppe; Club Manager, Patrick Casey; Director of Catering and Events, Gage Wilson; and their staff who present the final dishes and serve the guests.
All attendees will be presented with a program book containing the evening’s recipes.
With a need to raise funds to continue its support of local art endeavors and to keep the doors of its exhibit and shop galleries open, WCAC fashioned an elegant dining occasion with friends. Believing that cooking and food presentation are art forms generated the idea for the organization’s signature fundraiser. Guests will enjoy an evening of delicious foods, wine pairings and good friends.
The 2024 Guest Celebrity Chefs are: Bob and Jan Cirincione; Aaron and Jessica George; Cody Hill & Jill Colbert; and Matt and Bernadette Wagner
A limited silent art auction will benefit both the Arts Council and donating artists. Broadcasting will be provided by Antietam Cable and Nitelife Services under the direction of WCAC board member, Jim Miller.
