WAYNESBORO- The Rotary Club of Waynesboro submitted the following club news:
Last Week’s Program (12.5.23 bulletin)
Becky Voss, Children’s Advocacy Center of Franklin County , outlined the process her organization initiates after there is an allegation of abuse of children. Previous to 2014, children were exposed to an uncoordinated system of interviews that was counterproductive to the well-being of the child. The CAC serves as a focal point to coordinate the various agencies that address child abuse. Working out of their Chambersburg location, this non-profit has coordinated over 2000 cases of abuse since 2014. Becky noted that the agency has a working relationship with the Waynesboro School district to address these issues with educational programs for children and the educators/administrators.
