CHAMBERSBURG — Downtown Chambersburg Inc. (DCI) will host its 4th annual Sip, Shop, & Stroll fundraiser, to be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Guests aged 21+ may walk to participating vendors and enjoy various samples of locally made wine, beer, liquor, and cider throughout the event, which will be held rain or shine. Tickets are $45 for general admission and $5 for designated drivers, and they include food samples.
“Sip, Shop, & Stroll is the result of networking with the local beverages industry in our area,” says DCI president Sam Thrush. “For us, it’s a fun and delicious way to celebrate the holiday season and support local business with our neighbors.”
Sip, Shop, & Stroll participants can expect alcoholic offerings from Rough Edges, Liquid Art Brewing Company, GearHouse Brewing Company, and more, as well as a special guest appearance from Santa. Proceeds from Sip, Shop, & Stroll will benefit the participating vendors, as well as DCI’s mission to stimulate economic development and revitalize downtown Chambersburg.
There are several notes to help guests imbibe safely. DCI encourages Sip, Shop, & Stroll guests to bring a designated driver or order an Uber or Lyft driver. Additionally, a strict no-open-container policy will be enforced. Any Sip, Shop, & Stroll guest found drinking alcoholic samples outside the indoor locations will be cited.
Additionally, guests are invited to sample and purchase food at participating storefronts. “It’s a really great opportunity to try the culinary delights Chambersburg has to offer,” Thrush adds.
