CHAMBERSBURG– The Franklin County Commissioners proudly presented the September 2023 Employee of the Month award to Christina Daywalt during the board’s Sept. 27 public meeting. Daywalt has been employed with Franklin County since June 1990 and currently serves as an Administrative Assistant II in the commissioners’ office.

September’s Employee of the Month recipient was determined by the Special Thanks and Recognition (STAR) Committee, which received 27 nominations for the September award, 11 of which were for Daywalt.

“Chris is absolutely stellar – always kind, courteous, helpful and friendly!” said one nomination form. “Chris never has an unkind word to say and goes above and beyond to help others. She will always make time to find an answer for you, change an appointment, or just be there to listen to your concerns. Her professionalism and ability to multitask are beyond compare. Chris deserves Employee of the Month because she truly exemplifies what an outstanding employee should be.”

“Chris is critical to county operations. Her institutional knowledge of county procedures and resources are almost unmatched,” said another coworker. “Chris has a great, positive attitude, no matter what.”

Daywalt’s outstanding characteristics are attributes that have not gone unnoticed by her peers. Colleagues describe her as positive, dedicated, responsive, resourceful, kind, helpful, supportive, courteous and brilliant.

The Franklin County Commissioners congratulated Daywalt on her recognition and thanked her for her excellent work and for exuding such a high standard of knowledge, leadership and excellence to the employees and residents of Franklin County.
