WAYNESBORO—The Institute will host a theatrical production spotlighting Edgar Allan Poe on Friday, October 6 at 6:30 p.m., at The Wharf, a park-like property at 10141 Wharf Road in Waynesboro, Pa. The performance is free and open to the public.

The program is presented by Maryland Entertainment Group (MEG) of Hagerstown. Professional actor Todd Loughry brings Poe to life, performing a variety of fan favorites from Poe’s work. Loughry has been portraying Poe for more than 20 years.

“We are delighted that The Institute is able to bring this exciting outdoor performance to our local community for a second year,” said Tracy Holliday, Institute executive director.

The featured dramatic works this year will be “The Black Cat,” directed by Jess Edwards and Sam White, and “The Fall of the House of Usher,” directed by Jacob Reese.

“We are thrilled to be able to present this offering for a second year at The Wharf and hope audience members will enjoy!” said Sam Little, artistic director of MEG.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnics. For more information, visit The Institute’s website: natureandcultureinstitute.org.
