Our program will give you the option of bringing with you what you are working on and joining in our group that talks about their current projects and shares ideas and encouragement. This is a great place to share your ideas or to learn some new stitching skills. She’s Somebody’s Daughter

She’s Somebody’s Daughter began in 2012 as an awareness initiative about the links between trafficking, pornography, and the commercial sex industry. Have you heard of this program? Are you aware that there is a problem in and around our community? Are you trying to find a way out of a situation like this? Would you like to learn more about an organization whose mission is raising awareness, providing prevention education, and erasing lines of separation that isolate those affected by sexual exploitation? Please join us for this program to learn more about this issue and how you can help. This program is free and open to the public.

Poe Night at the Library

TEEN PROGRAMS

Anime Club
October 4, 4:00 PM – Teens ages 12-18, do you love to watch anime, read manga, and even draw characters? Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library invites you to come make shrinky dink keychains with us, a favorite activity often requested by club members.
Anime Club is a regular program at the library on 1st & 3rd Wednesdays.
We read & discuss our favorite / least favorite manga, choose anime shows & movies to watch together, and do various games, crafts, & other activities related to Japanese culture. This is the last Anime Club of the summer; fall dates TBA.

Art Saturday Kits
October 21, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM – Teens ages 12-18, stop by Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library to pick up your art kit! On the 3rd Saturday of each month, we announce a new Art Saturday Kit. Art kits consist of a paper bag containing all (or most of) the supplies you’ll need to complete an art or craft project at home. The instructions are usually via a video link (also posted on our social media). Art Kits are geared towards teens ages 12-18, but older kids are welcome to give it a try, too.

Ghost Story Walk
November 2, 4:00-5:30 PM – Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library –
Teen Librarian Miss Gina, and Karen, The Walking Librarian, invite Teens and Adults alike to join us for a spooky Ghost Story Walk at Pond Bank Day Use Area. Participate in a photo contest while hearing the story of the White Lady of Pond Bank, who is said to haunt these shores. Word on the street is that the legendary White Lady herself may even put in a guest appearance… Please BYOW (bring your own water), but the library will provide snacks!

Directions from AHMFL: PA-16 West. Turn right onto North Church St. (Rt 997). Go approximately 9 miles. Pond Bank Day Use Area parking lot is on the right. Registration is Required! Please stop by the front desk to register, and fill out the participant release form, & parent permission form for teen participants.

Homeschool Enrichment Club
October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library invites homeschoolers in grades K-12 to join us for art activities, STEM challenges, and more!
Homeschool Enrichment Club is parent-led (hosted by AHMFL) and meets weekly August 29th – May 28th. K-5th Grades will meet 10:30-11:15 AM, and 6th – 12th Grades at 11:30 AM -12:15 PM. MakerSpace Days
October 12, 26, 4:00-5:30 PM – Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library invites teens & preteens ages 10-18 to join us in the MakerSpace as we explore simple machines (with a focus on gears), make spirograph parts on the 3D printer, and create fun art using the spirograph! Pokemon Club
October 14, 1:30-2:45 PM – Kids & Teens, Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library invites you to join us for Pokemon Club! This club is dedicated to battling via the Pokemon card game. If you don’t already know how to play, leaders Chad & Kurt Ewell will teach you everything you need to know! Feel free to bring your own deck if you have one. We will also have decks here.

Teen Costume Party
October 27, 5:00-6:30 PM – Teens ages 12-18, Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library invites you to a special Costume Party, after hours at the library. We plan to enjoy games, a costume contest with prizes, a pumpkin craft, and pizza and snacks of various kinds.
